Broken Stairs

• My self symbol concept is to show my fear of things breaking apart. My project begins with the stairs forming but ends with them breaking a part. The idea began with just a person walking down the stair but then they would brake. My concept is suppose to show something about me. I find my fear to me something very strange because its not everyday you hear someone has a fear of stairs. I wanted to do something that not everyone knows about me. My image is simple and its clear its just a person and stairs. I feel my image relates to my concept because its clear not whats going on.
• It has changed a lot, at first I was going to be pushing someone off the stairs and they would break as the person fell. But I felt that did not express my fear it just showed me being mean. Also the intial idea was for the stairs to fall on her . Now she is falling into the stairs and then they break apart. Also I was planning on having less frames, because I wanted her to stay intil the end. But then I thought it be better to have her slowly leaving like she is scared on what just happend. My ideas changed as the project went on because I ound interesting techniques on photoshop.

My Trip to Egypt ;)

My Concept for the project was very simple. I wanted to make it about travel , I choose a place that I have never been before. I choose Egypt with is a very common location people like to visit. The concept was to make me look like typical tourist. Tourist like to take pictures where it looks like they are holding  important monuments. In i choose to make it in two location i was in Egypt and in my hand I held the statue of liberty.  I wanted to  make it look like a tourist picture.  I titled my project " Trip to Egypt ;) because my background is located in Egypt, It seem very fitting for what I had done in my project. In my piece the background is Egypt and their a dessert fox most of my composition involves Egypt.  I love my result because it looks like simple composition , but it was actually lots of work. It looks exactly how I imagined it in my head. The color blend well in my opinion. The added part actually look realistic .I like how it looks realistic but also has some elements that clearly don't belong but I still love it. I'm very happy with my project.

1.  First the Egypt background was placed in the first layer.
2. Then another layer was added with, the picture of me
3. I added a layer mask and used the paint brush to clear out the background. I used the black paint
4. then another layer was added of a picture the statue of liberty. 
5. I resided it and place it on top of my hand.
6. then a layer mask was added to erase the part that were unwanted
7. another layer was added with the picture of the fox. It was re sized
8. then a layer mask was added and part were erased.
9. after everything was placed i added the oil paint effect to the Egypt picture.
10. then i went to the second picture the one of me and started moving the image contract until i got an yellow , orange color.
11. Then I add the text on top by clicking on the text box.

What have I been doing in Graphic Design?

~GUESS MY LETTER~ (S)

1.   The letter project was a very interesting experience. At first when I was assigned my letter I was not very sure what I could do with it. When I got "S" I said okay I can do a snake in the shape of an "S: and get it over with.In my mind I say I'm done now I do my finale. When the thumb nail sketch assignment came up I was uninspired because we needed 20 and I had no ideas on what to do. I just drew random things that came to mind and saw how they came out.I really had no theme when drawing. I had very basic Ideas. For my brain storm section i just wrote word that started with the letter "S" like snake , soup and salad. At first it was hard for me to get ideas because nothing i was drawing was really catching my attention. I way I got my finale idea was I just searched random pictures and then aw this girl power thing and liked it and built my idea around. When we had to choose two that we wanted to do I choose girl power and the solar system idea. I put more work on the girl one because i was in love with the idea. The ideas and suggestion from the rest of my class mates helped I lot because the idea was developed but the composition was not as developed.The process helped me get lots of my ideas in place.

My concept was girl power and the ideas I used was to draw a girl with a superman symbol on her arm. I was trying to show the Trent in her. I choose to make the "S" go around her body. Inside the "S" I put makeup and things girls use. I wanted to show strength and how girls can be powerful but still be girly. I had things like lipstick,nail polish and eyeliner.I used pink as my background because is considered a girly color but also make everything stand out because is a bright color.I put things that are typical in a girls life. I tried to make the colors as dark as possible. I wanted the background and the "S" to stand out because that's the main focal point. The girl was in light colors so you can see her better

The most challenging aspect of the project was getting everything to fit in cleanly, A very time i drew something things got smudged with made the page look dirty and mess. Then i tried drawing more dark but then when i tried erasing the mark would still stay. The drawing part was hard because things were not coming out as planned and the work was looking messy.

After finishing my project I'm very satisfy on how it came out. I like how the project came out. It wasn't easy to get all the details I wanted to get more details in but I wasn't possible because the project was starting to look messy. I had to start over but my second piece was satisfying. I like how the letter stands out. I like the colors an how they came together i feel my piece is pretty good.I feel I followed the requirement and still had my personally in the project.

If I could change or do something differently I would have made the background differently. I would have made the "S" more present in the background. I would have maybe drawn some "s" shape objects around the background in case people didn't understand the s around the 

Summer

I'm Genesis Flores and Im a senior. I'm a very lazy person that truely likes to do nothing but sleep. If I had a dream job a would sleep everyday. Im the laziest person you would ever meet but I always have my work done on time.

at ohio because we got a ticket for speeding. I was bored so i was just running around.

After my trip to Chicago I went to take a summer course at Baruch. In this picture it was the last day

This is the Carlos Bakery in times square. I have spent a few
year looking for this bakery I have always had an obession by it . i was very
excited when i found it.
